Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a disciplined technician to perform sandblasting, coating, and surface treatment on semiconductor components in a controlled environment. You will follow approved work instructions and ensure strict quality standards.

Responsibilities include precision cleaning with ultrasonic and DI water systems, preparing components for processing, and maintaining traceability and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; technical or science-related certificate is an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, sandblasting, coating, or related processes is preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures accurately.
• Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and ability to handle small, delicate components.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety and chemical handling practices.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing to work shifts and operate in a cleanroom or controlled production environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or overtime, as required.

• Conduct visual inspections to verify cleanliness, coating quality, and absence of defects.
• Maintain traceability and proper product identification across all stages of processing.
• Complete documentation and production records in SAP or relevant systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting, coating, and surface treatment processes on semiconductor components in accordance with approved work instructions, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Carry out manual and automated precision cleaning activities prior to processing using approved equipment and methods (e.g., ultrasonic cleaning systems, DI water systems).
• Prepare components for processing through proper cleaning, masking, handling, and surface preparation to ensure coating adhesion and product quality.
• Handle high-value and sensitive semiconductor parts carefully in compliance with contamination control procedures and safety requirements.
• Operate sandblasting and coating equipment safely and efficiently to achieve required production output while maintaining consistent process quality.
• Monitor process parameters such as blasting pressure, coating conditions, cleaning duration, temperature, and chemical concentration to ensure compliance with process specifications.
• Conduct visual inspections using appropriate inspection tools (e.g., magnifiers, UV light where applicable) to verify cleanliness, coating quality, surface finish, and absence of defects or contamination.
• Ensure proper product identification and maintain full traceability throughout all stages of cleaning, surface treatment, and coating processes.
• Perform line clearance and verification activities to prevent product mix-up and ensure operational readiness before production runs.
• Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, inspection results, and process data through SAP or relevant manufacturing systems.
• Operate within cleanroom or controlled environments while complying with PPE requirements such as gowns, gloves, and masks.
• Safely handle chemicals, cleaning agents, blasting media, and waste materials in accordance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Support daily production schedules to meet operational targets and delivery timelines.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), safety policies, and company quality standards at all times.
• Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S practices to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
• Participate in training programs, competency development, and continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and process optimization activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and quality personnel regarding process deviations, equipment issues, or product defects.
• Assist in finishing operations, material handling, deployment, and quality control activities when required.
• Complete all required documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and scrap documentation accurately and promptly.
