Job summary

CNL Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain Apex code, LWC components, and declarative automation within the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud origination and servicing platform.

You will implement REST and SOAP integrations, including credit bureau and mortgage-processing systems, and contribute to in-house Slack bot and Box integrations, working with the Melbourne team across time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience building and consuming REST and/or SOAP API integrations from Apex using Named Credentials/HTTP callouts.
• Strong understanding of Flow Builder and declarative automation.
• Experience with Git-based version control and a CI/CD deployment tool.
• Salesforce certification preferred (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, or equivalent).

Job description

This role sits within the Salesforce delivery team, building and maintaining Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow automation, and API integrations across the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) origination and servicing platform. You will work on features spanning mortgage and asset finance loan applications, credit bureau integrations (Equifax), and mortgage-processing platform integrations (Simpology / LIXI), alongside broader Salesforce configuration and automation work. The role will also contribute to newer platform initiatives, including in-house Slack bot development, Salesforce Agentforce agents, and Box (Content Cloud) integrations. You will operate semi-independently — able to take a well-scoped requirement, ask the right clarifying questions up front, and deliver a working, tested solution with only light-touch oversight from the Melbourne-based team.

Key responsibilities

Design, build and unit-test Apex classes, triggers, and asynchronous (batch/queueable/scheduled) jobs to automate business processes.

Develop responsive Lightning Web Components (LWC) for internal (agent/broker) and external (partner/customer portal) experiences.

Build and maintain declarative automation — Flow Builder, validation rules, approval processes — alongside programmatic solutions where appropriate.

Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations with third-party platforms, including credit bureau (Equifax) and mortgage-processing (Simpology/LIXI) systems, using Named Credentials and Salesforce integration best practice.

Contribute to new build-out of Slack bot integrations and Salesforce Agentforce agents connecting Salesforce, Slack, and Box (Content Cloud).

Write and maintain Apex test classes to org-standard coverage, and support CI/CD deployments through sandbox → UAT → production.

Participate in code review, technical design discussion, and sprint planning with the Melbourne technical team.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working from debug logs and stack traces to root cause.

Document technical designs and integration behaviour clearly enough for handover and audit purposes.

About you

Demonstrated experience building and consuming REST and/or SOAP API integrations from Apex (Named Credentials, HTTP callouts, JSON/XML parsing).

Solid understanding of Flow Builder and declarative process automation.

Experience with Git-based version control and a CI/CD deployment tool (e.g. Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce CLI/SFDX pipelines).

Ability to write and maintain Apex test classes meeting Salesforce deployment coverage requirements.

Strong written English for asynchronous, cross-timezone communication with the Melbourne team.

Comfortable working with minimal daily supervision once a task is scoped — able to flag blockers proactively rather than waiting on check-ins.

Salesforce certification preferred (Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Certified Administrator, or equivalent).
