We are seeking a driven and client-focused Sales Trader to support the firm's business development and client relationship management efforts in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), institutional clients, corporate investors, family offices, and other professional market participants.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of financial markets, trading analysis, and desk hedging, with the ability to provide market insights and support clients' investment objectives. This role requires excellent relationship management and business development skills to identify new opportunities while delivering exceptional client service. Prior experience in financial markets, treasury, bullion, or structured products, with exposure to trading desk operations or hedging activities is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Growth: Build new client relationships and grow business opportunities locally and internationally. Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients through networking, referrals, industry events, and market outreach initiatives.
• Client Management: Provide trading and hedging solutions while managing client accounts, trades, and support. Provide timely market updates, product information, and support to clients.
• Market & Trading Analysis: Monitor financial markets and use trading tools to provide market insights and opportunities.
• Risk & Compliance: Manage trading risks and ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulations. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Quantitative & Analytical Skills: Candidates with a background, training, or strong interest in quantitative analysis, data science, analytics, or algorithmic trading are preferred.

Requirements:

• Holding Diploma / Degree qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in financial sales, securities brokerage, wealth management, or investment-related industries, with a proven track record in client acquisition.
• Strong language communication and excellent client management skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using/navigating through charting and other financial related software and programs.
• Experience in precious metals trading desk and bullion firms will be a strong plus point.
• Based in Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility to travel regionally.
• 5 days work week, and alternate half-day Saturday
