Job summary

ACE MARINE SHIPPING SDN. BHD. is seeking a Sales Support Executive to source freight rates, prepare accurate quotations for the sales team, and support tender activities.

You will manage the Master Rate Book, monitor rate expiries, and build target customer lists, working closely with carriers and overseas agents. The role requires 1–3 years in freight forwarding or logistics, familiarity with sea freight basics, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics (operations / pricing / CS background welcome).
• Familiar with sea freight basics: FCL/LCL, Incoterms, local charges, BL types.
• Comfortable with Excel; able to learn new tools quickly.
• English and Mandarin required (Bahasa Malaysia an advantage).
• Organised, fast, and accurate under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Request and follow up freight rates from shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Compare at least 3 quotes per trade lane; negotiate for better rates where possible.
• Maintain the Master Rate Book — current, complete, standard format.
• Alert the team before key rates expire; circulate carrier announcements (GRI / PSS).
• Prepare accurate quotations for the sales team — include charges, terms, validity, and completeness.
• Submit quotes promptly and track status (won, lost, pending).
• Complete customer RFQ forms and bid sheets; gather onboarding documents for new customers.

This is a Rate & Quotation Desk role in freight forwarding. You will source freight rates from shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas agents; prepare accurate quotations for the sales team; maintain the company Master Rate Book; support tenders and RFQs; handle new customer onboarding; and build target customer lists for the sales team.

Key responsibilities

Request and follow up freight rates from shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas agents

Compare at least 3 quotes per trade lane; negotiate for better rates where possible

Maintain the company Master Rate Book — current, complete, standard format

Alert the team before key rates expire; circulate carrier announcements (GRI / PSS) same day

Prepare accurate quotations for the sales team — complete charges, terms, validity, no missing items

Prepare normal quotations out the same day; urgent ones within the hour

Follow up on every quotation: won / lost / pending, and record why deals were lost

Submit a simple monthly summary: quotes sent, won, lost, and lost reasons

Complete customer RFQ forms and bid sheets; prepare supporting documents

Collect onboarding documents (credit application, SSM) for newly won customers and prepare a customer SOP

About you

1–3 years in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics (operations / pricing / CS background welcome)

Familiar with sea freight basics: FCL/LCL, Incoterms, local charges, BL types

Comfortable with Excel; able to learn new tools quickly

English and Mandarin required (you will deal with carriers and co-loaders daily); Bahasa Malaysia an advantage

Organised, fast, and accurate under deadline pressure
