Job summary

The Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager to drive sales performance, build strong customer relationships, and lead the sales team to meet targets. You will develop sales strategies, monitor KPIs, deliver weekly forecasts, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and excellent service.

Prior automotive experience is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
• Candidates with experience in automotive sales, vehicle distribution, automotive parts, commercial vehicles or related industries will have an added advantage.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new business.
• Experience in leading, coaching and motivating a sales team.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented with good business acumen

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage the sales team to achieve KPIs.
• Develop and refine sales strategies, tools, and processes to improve team results.
• Deliver accurate and timely weekly reporting and sales forecasts.
• Analyse sales performance, market trends, and identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing and after-sales follow-up.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Conduct sales activities, customer visits, product presentations and negotiations where required.
• Ensure the sales team follows company policies, procedures and service standards.
• Complete additional projects or tasks as assigned by management
