Job summary

Rakanda Enterprise in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Sales and Business Development professional to expand markets for plastic products. You will develop sales strategies, identify new opportunities, and prepare quotes and product information for customers.

You will coordinate with purchasing, operations, and suppliers to ensure timely order fulfilment, monitor market trends, and support campaigns, exhibitions, and promotions. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in sales/marketing preferred in plastics/manufacturing/FMCG.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities, customers, and markets for plastic products.
• Prepare sales quotations, proposals, and product information for customers.
• Follow up on sales enquiries, quotations, orders, and customer requirements.
• Conduct market research and monitor trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and pricing.
• Support marketing activities, promotions, campaigns, exhibitions, and other BD initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, specs, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Work with Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and other teams to ensure smooth fulfilment.
• Coordinate with suppliers on new product development and improvements.
• Monitor sales performance and prepare reports and forecasts.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets and business objectives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, customers, and potential markets for plastic products.
• Prepare sales quotations, proposals, and product information for customers.
• Follow up on sales enquiries, quotations, orders, and customer requirements in a timely manner.
• Conduct market research and monitor market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and pricing to identify new business opportunities.
• Support marketing activities, product promotions, campaigns, exhibitions, and other business development initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, specifications, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer service.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on new product development, product improvement, and business opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for management review.
• Ensure all sales and marketing activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time

You might thrive in this role if you have:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably in plastic products, manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries.
• Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer relationship and business development skills.
• Good understanding of market trends and sales strategies.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Willing to travel when required for customer visits, supplier meetings, exhibitions, an business development activities.

Compensation, Benefits and Perks

The salary is RM3,500 - RM4,500
