Job summary

Johnson Controls in Malaysia is seeking a capable Industrial Sales professional to drive growth with end-users, contractors and consultants. You will design process systems and provide accurate project costing while coordinating with vendors.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, 2+ years in petrochemical/HVAC, strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach. This role emphasizes sustainability, customer satisfaction, and achieving KPI targets within the Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in Chemical, Petrochemical, HVAC or related industries.
• Petrochemical/Oil & Gas background is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical and relationship skills.
• Proactive team player with broad engineering background.
• Experience in pricing, proposals and vendor negotiations.

What you will do:

• Industrial sales and performance growth with Malaysia end-users, contractors and consultants.

How you will do it:

• Providing distinctive sales strategies & support including but not limited to process systems designs and solutions to satisfy customers’ needs
• Main duties include preliminary design of refrigeration system, compiling accurate project costing, liaising with vendors for quotations, and preparation of Project proposals suiting the Client requirement
• Developing IR business in line with company objectives of sustainability, quality earnings and continual growth
• Execute the business initiatives and commit to yield total customer satisfaction and achieve the business results
• Support the IR business in the region in possession of sustainability, quality earning and continual growth
• Ensure the success of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Leadership Review Plan (LRP) objectives within the IR LOB
• Participate in the organisation of marketing and promotion, incl. seminar, conference, exhibition and any form of event which benefits the business performance
• Maintain existing customer base and develop new customer base to ensure continuous business growth
• Maintain constant field intelligence and feedback pertinent information on competitors activities, product, prices, business performance and promotional programmes and develop the necessary business strategies to ensure the company excels
• Execution of business operation and conduct are to conform to JC Singapore policies
• Communicate and work closely with other departments in ensuring the overall company objectives/performance is achieved at all times
• Support the region in-charge in the Asia Pacific’s organization initiating best practice sharing and cross learning
• Foster strong customer relationship with all customers enabling the company to be active & leading, speedy response time, highly profitable, excellent payment collection position at all time

• To observe, promote and practice JC culture and leadership qualities

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process).
• 2 years and above experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, HVAC / Refrigeration or similar industry.
• Petrochemical, Oil and Gas background is added advantage.
• Good communication, analytical, organizing & relationship management skills.
• Must be a proactive team player.

• Process Refrigeration knowledge preferred.
