Trust Recruit in Malaysia is seeking a senior logistics and business expansion professional to lead the growth of the Malaysian operations from Johor Bahru, working closely with Singapore teams to drive regional initiatives.

The role focuses on building customer bases, establishing new warehouses, and coordinating end-to-end onboarding, with a strong emphasis on process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3–8 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, contract logistics, supply chain, or business development.
• Experience in customer acquisition and account management.
• Experience in warehouse operations or project implementation is highly preferred.
• Experience in setting up new operations or business units is an advantage.
• Strong business development and negotiation skills.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working across both commercial and operational functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience in WMS, ERP, or logistics systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to grow logistics business in Malaysia.

Identify and acquire new customers across various industries.

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.

Business Expansion

Support the establishment of Logistics Malaysian operations.

Identify suitable warehouse facilities and operational partners.

Assist in setting up new warehouses, office operations, and business processes.

Coordinate with government agencies, landlords, contractors, suppliers, and service providers where required.

Recommend improvements to business processes and operational workflows.

Customer Onboarding

Manage end-to-end implementation of new customer accounts.

Coordinate with customers to understand operational requirements.

Work closely with the Singapore operations team to ensure successful onboarding.

Develop SOPs and implementation plans for new customers.

Ensure smooth transition from sales to operations.

Operations & Project Management

Assist in developing warehouse processes and operational workflows.

Coordinate warehouse setup, racking layouts, equipment procurement, and operational readiness.

Support WMS implementation and process improvements.

Monitor operational performance and recommend continuous improvements.

Manage multiple expansion projects simultaneously.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, IT, Procurement, and Management teams.

Coordinate with Singapore headquarters on regional initiatives.

Support cross-border logistics projects between Singapore and Malaysia.

General Management

Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by Management.

Assist in recruiting local staff as the Malaysian business expands.

Support budgeting and business planning activities.

Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements
