We are seeking a commercially sharp, firm, and relationship-driven FMCG Sales Executive to spearhead our brand footprint across Sarawak. Based out of our Kuching hub, you will oversee, govern, and partner with regional distributor to drive massive volume growth while maintaining strict commercial efficiency. This is not a passive account management role; we are looking for a strategic partner who can clean up product portfolios, enforce critical commercial guidelines, and maximize budget efficiencies.
Key responsibilities
Collaborate closely with third-party distributor teams to deliver aggressive Year-on-Year (YoY) double-digit volume growth across the Sarawak region
Successfully implement, manage, and uphold structural policies (including a strict non-return policy) across all retail and wholesale channels
Conduct regular trade audits to rationalize non-productive items, ruthlessly focusing distributor efforts on high-velocity, saleable SKUs to scale business returns
Drive high-impact localized trade activations and market executions under optimized, minimal budget spend
Build and sustain elite, solid rapport with local retailers and key merchants to secure continuous brand support and shelf dominance
Travel frequently out of Kuching to key divisions (Sibu, Bintulu, Miri) to monitor distributor stock levels, pipeline efficiency, and credit risk
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related commercial field
Minimum 2–3 years of outdoor sales experience in the FMCG industry, specifically managing third-party distributors and trade channels
Proven track record in SKU management, inventory rationalization, and commercial policy enforcement
Valid driving license (Class D), a reliable personal vehicle, and a high willingness to travel across outstation routes
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Conversational proficiency in Mandarin or local Sarawakian dialects (e.g., Iban) is a highly valued asset for commercial negotiations
