Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager for a premier FMCG company in the Klang Valley. You will own the General Trade business, driving volume growth with wholesalers and distributors while actively opening new markets.

Lead and coach a field-based sales team to ensure comprehensive territory coverage and achievement of volume targets. Regular regional visits will strengthen long-term partnerships with key distributors, and you will formulate forecasts, oversee pipelines, and deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience in distributor and wholesaler management across traditional/general trade.
• Experience with fast-moving food and beverage products is desirable.
• Ability to translate sales data into forecasting reports and growth plans.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the General Trade business, driving volume growth with wholesalers and distributors and opening new markets.
• Lead, mentor, and monitor a field sales team to maximize territory coverage and targets.
• Carry out regional field visits to key wholesalers and distributors across West Malaysia to strengthen partnerships.
• Prepare robust sales forecasts, manage pipelines, and present data-driven reviews to senior management.
• Collaborate with marketing to align on-ground executions with brand strategies.

• Reporting to: Head of Sales

• Team size: Manage a team of sales executives and representatives
• Take full commercial ownership of a high-volume General Trade division and lead a dedicated sales team to scale nationwide distribution.

• Take full ownership of the General Trade (GT) business unit, focusing heavily on driving volume growth with existing wholesalers and distributors while aggressively identifying and opening new markets.
• Lead, mentor, and track the daily performance of a field-facing sales executive team to ensure territory coverage and volume targets are maximized.
• Conduct regional field visits to key wholesalers and distributors across West Malaysia to strengthen long-term commercial partnerships.
• Formulate robust sales forecasts, oversee pipeline management, and conduct data-driven sales reviews for presentation to senior management.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align on-ground commercial executions with overall brand strategies.

• Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience, with a focus towards distributor and wholesaler management across traditional/general trade.
• Experience in managing fast-moving food and beverage products are desirable.
• Possess certain level of presentation skills; capable of converting raw sales data into structured forecasting reports and strategic growth plans.
