Job summary

Universal (Far East) Pte Ltd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to manage and grow electronics customer accounts, build strong client relationships, respond to quotations, and close deals.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or similar field).
• A passion for sales and strong communication will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in electronic component distribution is an added advantage. Training will be provided.
• Willing to travel locally and internationally when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and growth.
• Build strong relationships with new clients to expand business opportunities.
• Respond to quotation requests, prepare competitive offers, and close sales effectively.
• Generate weekly sales reports and forecasts to support planning and performance tracking.
• Address technical and quality concerns in coordination with principals.
• Work with principals regarding pricing, product specifications, and quality issues.
• Participate in overseas travel for meetings, supplier visits, and training sessions as needed.
