Job summary

Seng Liy Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive sales professional to manage day-to-day sales activities, handle inquiries, deliver quotes and orders, and develop strong client relationships. The role requires effective communication in English, Malay, and Mandarin, and a focus on meeting monthly and annual targets.

The candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline, with 1–2 years of sales experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin with strong communication skills.

• Good product learning ability and willingness to develop knowledge of the Company's products and building material industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day sales activities including attending to sales enquiries, quotations, tenders, and sales orders.
• Communicate with customers and provide accurate information on products, pricing, availability, delivery, and other matters.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with new and existing customers and provide good customer service.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth processing and delivery of orders.
• Monitor outstanding payments and assist Finance with collections where required.
• Work with team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities and customer matters to management.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by Management.

Job description

Execute day-to-day sales activities, including attending to sales enquiries, customer feedback, complaints and sales related issues, preparing and following up on quotations, tenders, and sales orders

Communicate with customers and provide accurate information on the Company's products, pricing, availability, delivery, and other relevant matters

Be familiar with the Company's products and possess sufficient product knowledge to provide customers with accurate information and basic product recommendations

Develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing customers and provide good customer service

Coordinate closely with the relevant departments to ensure smooth processing and delivery of customer orders

Monitor outstanding payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and work closely with the Finance Department on collection matters where required

Work closely with team members to achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pending quotations, orders, and customer matters to the Superior and Management

To carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline

Preferably 1–2 years of relevant working experience in sales

Fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin, with good verbal and written communication skills. We are seeking candidates proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Good sales, negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills

Good product learning ability and willingness to develop knowledge of the Company's products and building material industry

Able to work independently with minimum supervision
