Job summary

GET BUILDERS PROSPECT SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our Health, Safety and Environment team on a full-time basis at our site in Puncak Alam, Selangor. The role focuses on implementing safety policies, conducting inspections and driving a strong safety culture across construction operations.

Key duties include risk assessments, accident investigations, safety training, and ensuring DOSH compliance.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH certified or equivalent) or relevant safety certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian construction safety regulations, including OSHA requirements and CIDB guidelines
• Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Proficiency in safety management systems and ability to develop and implement safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and engage workers at all levels
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive safety records
• Proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing preventative measures
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the project site as required
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Preferred experience with safety software systems and incident management platforms

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures and protocols aligned with Malaysian safety regulations and industry best practices
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure all work areas meet safety standards
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Deliver safety training and induction programmes to all site personnel, including workers, supervisors and management
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports and documentation as required by regulatory authorities
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on safety matters and compliance issues
• Promote a positive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns and employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all site operations
• Prepare safety reports and metrics for management review and continuous improvement
• Ensure site activities comply with DOSH safety requirements and company safety policies

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Officer to join GET BUILDERS PROSPECT SDN BHD on a full-time basis at our site in Puncak Alam, Selangor. This is a critical role within our Health, Safety and Environment department, responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and fostering a strong safety culture across all construction operations. As Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our workforce, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures and protocols aligned with Malaysian safety regulations and industry best practices

What we're looking for
