Job summary

Green Plus Consultancy (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety and Health Officer for an on-site contract-based role in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with OSH, conduct site inspections, and coordinate with project teams to uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities include toolbox talks, risk assessments, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness. Immediate availability is preferred for a contract that runs until July 2027.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book (SHO).
• Experience in construction or marine construction.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health legislation.
• Able to work independently and communicate with workers and project teams.

Job description

Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, DOSH/JKKP regulations, and project safety procedures.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

Monitor and ensure workers comply with PPE and safety requirements.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inductions.

Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation, inspection reports, risk assessments, and incident reports.

Coordinate with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors on safety and health matters.

Investigate workplace accidents/incidents and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Attend safety meetings and provide advice on safety and health matters.

Ensure emergency preparedness and participate in emergency response activities.

Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure statutory safety requirements are fulfilled.

Requirements

Possess a valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book (SHO).

Registered as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH/JKKP.

Experience in any construction activity/ marine construction

Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health legislation and construction safety requirements.

Able to work independently and communicate effectively with workers and project teams.

Can join immediately; it is a contract-based project until July 2027

Willing to work on-site and support project requirements.
