Job summary

unicore build sdn. bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to ensure safety on construction sites, comply with DOSH Malaysia regulations and project safety procedures.

The role involves monitoring safety performance, conducting inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments. Candidates must hold DOSH/JKKP SHO Green Book or SSS Yellow Book, have at least 2 years in construction safety, and be able to coordinate with Chinese-speaking teams.

Qualifications

• Valid DOSH/JKKP registration as Safety & Health Officer (SHO - Green Book) or Site Safety Supervisor (SSS - Yellow Book).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Experience in construction, M&E, waterproofing or similar projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements, DOSH/JKKP regulations and construction safety practices.
• Able to conduct site safety inspections, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, HIRARC/risk assessments and accident/incident investigations.
• Able to monitor workers and subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and site safety rules.
• Chinese language proficiency is an advantage, as the position will communicate with Chinese management, project teams and workers.
• Willing to work at construction sites and travel between project locations when required.

To ensure all construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with DOSH Malaysia regulations, company safety policies, client requirements, and project-specific safety procedures. The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for monitoring workplace safety, preventing accidents, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring legal compliance throughout the project.

Job Requirements

Valid DOSH/JKKP registration as Safety & Health Officer (SHO - Green Book) or Site Safety Supervisor (SSS - Yellow Book).

Candidates with both Green Book and Yellow Book will have an added advantage.

Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.

Experience in construction, M&E, waterproofing or similar projects is preferred.

Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements, DOSH/JKKP regulations and construction safety practices.

Able to conduct site safety inspections, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, HIRARC/risk assessments and accident/incident investigations.

Able to monitor workers and subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and site safety rules.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Chinese language proficiency is an advantage, as the position will communicate with Chinese management, project teams and workers.

Able to work independently and handle site safety matters effectively.

Willing to work at construction sites and travel between project locations when required.
