Job summary

Fraser Place Puteri Harbour in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, seeks a Supervisor to oversee daily Safety & Security operations, ensuring a safe, secure environment for guests and staff. You will coordinate the team, enforce SOPs, manage access control, and support emergency response.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in security or related field, a relevant certificate/diploma, and proven supervisory experience. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Safety & Security team, ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with hotel policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of guests, employees, visitors, contractors, hotel assets, and property at all times.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the hotel premises to identify potential security, safety, and operational risks, and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor and control access to the hotel by ensuring proper registration, identification, authorization, and documentation of visitors, vendors, contractors, and external personnel.
• Investigate and document incidents involving theft, loss, accidents, injuries, disturbances, property damage, misconduct, or security breaches, and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and guest or employee assistance requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when required.
• Prepare accurate and timely incident, investigation, occurrence, and daily security reports.
• Conduct routine inspections and operational checks on CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, PA systems, emergency response equipment, communication devices, access control systems, and other security-related installations.
• Assist in emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, crisis management, and emergency response procedures.
• Coach and guide Security Officers to ensure consistent performance, professional conduct, and adherence to departmental standards.

The position is responsible for maintaining security standards, supporting emergency response, identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable Malaysian regulations, and assisting the Safety & Security Manager in the effective management of the department.

About you

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and email communication.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during emergency situations when required.
