Job summary

Alfa Laval is looking for an experienced General Ledger professional to manage daily accounting operations within our SSC/BPO setup in Malaysia. You will produce periodic MISAL/ALSIS reports, IFRS-based intragroup matching, and statutory closing data, while ensuring data accuracy and process improvements.

The role requires 4–6 years in General Ledger, strong English communication, and a detail-oriented, adaptable mindset. ERP familiarity and Excel proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in General Ledger within SSC/BPO.
• Practical knowledge of accounting processes and rules.
• Strong analytical skills including forecasting and problem-solving.
• Proficient in English communication (spoken and written).
• Excellent communication and numeric skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt when deadlines and priorities change.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.
• iScala knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations within area of responsibility.
• Prepare and analyze periodic reporting (MISAL, ALSIS) for management information and analytics.
• Prepare quarterly Intra Group Matching reporting based on IFRS.
• Collect information for statutory closing reporting (R forms).
• Prepare forecast reporting and account reconciliations.
• Record monthly, quarterly and annual journal bookings.
• Allocate costs between profit centers and book internal freight/insurance.
