Job summary

Sebarang (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Executive (Roofing Projects) to prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender documents, and to coordinate with suppliers and the site team.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. A background in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline is preferred; a careful, organized approach to numbers and paperwork, plus willingness to travel to project sites when required.

• Mandarin is an advantage for supplier coordination with China-based suppliers

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and costings, quotations and supporting tender documents as required.
• Deal with suppliers, prepare material requisitions and relevant data records & paperwork
• Check subcontractor invoices & supporting documents, and verify payments in line with company approval processes.
• Prepare progress claims & project final account. Assist in following up on payments from the customer
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, the site team and QS department to keep project information and actions moving.
• Attend project sites when required and coordinate site-related QS matters.
