Job summary

Centific is seeking a Project Manager for the Physical AI Lab & Research to coordinate multi-disciplinary robotics initiatives across hardware, simulation, data pipeline, and evaluation. You will ensure clear scoping, realistic timelines, and on-time delivery while providing visibility to leadership.

The role emphasizes proactive risk management, cross-geography collaboration, and structured reporting, without owning technical execution. Permanent, on-site in Georgetown, Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project or program management, ideally in robotics, hardware, R&D, or industrial automation.
• Strong experience with project trackers, roadmaps, dashboards, and Microsoft Office 365 / Power BI.
• Working knowledge of robotics and AI workflows, including hardware-software integration, teleoperation, data collection, simulation, or model evaluation.
• Proactive at surfacing risks and blockers before they slip; comfortable escalating when needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to summarize complex technical status for leadership and partners.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across cross-functional teams.
• Professional certification (PMP, PgMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track progress on all robotics lab and research initiatives with a live status view.
• Define and manage scope for each initiative; control scope changes.
• Build and maintain timelines and roadmaps across concurrent initiatives.
• Identify blockers early and drive resolution or escalation.
• Run regular reporting and status cadence for leadership and contributors.
• Flag timeline slips, scope creep, and resource gaps with options and next steps.
• Track hardware procurement and vendor timelines as dependencies.
• Maintain a risk and dependency register with mitigation actions.
• Drive initiative closure by delivering on scope and handing off to delivery teams.
