Job summary

Serve Robotics in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Power Train Electrical Engineering team. You will support manufacturing, validation, and test infrastructure for electrical hardware across the global fleet.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, EMI considerations, and close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to ensure reliable hardware from build through validation. Onsite work in Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, hardware validation, manufacturing support, or test engineering for electromechanical products.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical systems in lab, manufacturing, or field environments.
• Experience supporting contract manufacturers, suppliers, or production lines for electronic products.
• Familiarity with EMI or EMC pre-scan testing, lab setup, electrical debug, and validation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide local electrical engineering support for manufacturing builds and sustaining production issues in Malaysia.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures during manufacturing, bring-up, and system integration; drive root cause analysis to closure.
• Support yield improvement, failure analysis, and corrective actions related to PCBAs, harnesses, and power systems.
• Assist EMI scan planning and execution, including test setup review, debug support, and documentation of findings.
• Collaborate with design and systems teams to identify emission sources and implement mitigation actions.
