Job summary

MSIG Malaysia is seeking a diligent risk professional to perform risk surveys and technical evaluations for pre-underwriting and risk identification. You will develop loss control reports and provide practical recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Job description

Perform risk surveys and evaluations on technical aspects for pre-underwriting and risk identification, including preparing loss control and investigative reports and providing recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare reports on loss control and investigative surveys.
• Support and implement loss control recommendations by liaising with Underwriting, Business Units, and Branch personnel.
• Support and provide risk control expertise and training to enable the evaluation of risks and appreciation of risk for prudent underwriting. Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, and Business Departments to combat adverse claims and recommend remedial actions.
• Provide efficient risk management services and support, including special rating presentations to clients, particularly in respect of risk improvement, FEA requirements, and related matters. Support and provide guidance for the development of LSR technical rates for Underwriters, and support and assist in providing professional advice and guidance to Underwriting and Business Units.
• Perform and support the department's administrative systems, procedures, and work processes for sound operations and continuous improvement. Perform and support the department's activities in line with the Company's values and direction within a harmonious working environment through effective communication and excellent leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree holder, preferably with professional insurance qualifications.
