Job summary

Liberty General Insurance Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Executive, Liability Underwriting to assist the Head of Liability in planning and achieving underwriting budget and profit within regulatory guidelines. You will support risk assessment, prepare and modify quotation slips, monitor portfolio metrics, and help update underwriting policies and procedures.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; the role provides exposure to commercial lines underwriting, data analytics support, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial or related field.
• Exposure and experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of risk acceptance according to underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare Quotations/ modify Quotation Slips of risks.
• Assist to monitor the portfolio and metrics related to underwriting activities, processes and risk acceptance rules in accordance with data analytics.
• Assist to update the underwriting policies and procedures timely.
• Assist in execution of System implementations and perform UAT testing.
• Assist in Training and building technical knowledge within organization.
• Ensure effective and efficient administration of day-to-day business operations in line with SOP across all support functions.
• Assist to provide technical support for Distributions as and when required
• Full adherence to Underwriting Guidelines and work within Authority Limits.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and laws.
