Job summary

Safran Landing Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks skilled personnel for manual and robotic oxidation coating of discs, mechanical assembly, and quality inspection within a safe manufacturing environment. The role covers handling of heat stacks, cleaning, and outbound shipments, with strict adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Candidates should have a mechanical background, 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to learn technical information quickly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or degree in mechanics / machining.
• Three to five years manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to effectively learn and use technical information.
• Ability to analyze information and identify root causes to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow SLS procedures, operating manuals, work instructions and SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Manual assembly and sequencing of discs for Riveting operation.
• Perform oxidation coating to discs per drawings/specifications (manual/robotic).
• Assemble heat stacks and manage outbound shipments.
• Process discs through the cleaning operation.
• Inspect worn carbon discs when qualified/certified.
• Work at the Repair workstation as trained.
• Maintain annual qualification/certification for applicable processes.
• Operate precision dimensional measuring instruments accurately.
• Record/monitor traceability, quality, outbound shipments and heat packs in data systems.
• Safely operate production and material handling equipment.
• Support Quality, Process, Engineering and HR procedures/policies.
• Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental policies and energy initiatives.
• Comply with Business Ethics and Flight Safety policies.
• Perform other related duties.

Job description

Understand and follow SLS procedures, operating manuals, work instructions, and standard operating procedures, especially in accordance with aeronautical regulations.

Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Manual assembly and sequencing of discs as required for the Riveting operation.

Qualified and certified to perform manual and/or robotic application of oxidation coating to discs per drawing/specifications.

Proper assembly of heat stacks and outbound shipments.

Process discs through the cleaning operation.

Qualified/Certified to perform inspection of worn carbon discs.

Trained to work at the Repair workstation.

Acquire and maintain annual qualification/certification status for all applicable processes.

Accurate operation of precision dimensional measuring instruments.

Utilize data collection systems to record/monitor traceability, quality, outbound shipments, and customer heat packs .

Safe operation/use of production, material handling, and other equipment.

Support and follow Quality, Process, Engineering, and Human Resources procedures/policies.

Adhere and actively participate in occupational Safety, Health and Environmental policies, Energy policies procedures and activities such as I-See I-Act, GPI, low carbon initiative etc.

Adhere and comply with Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Flight Safety Management System, and others relevant policies, procedures and activities.

Perform other related duties as required
