Job summary

Safran Landing Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Laboratory Manager to support routine laboratory testing and sample analysis in our quality lab in Malaysia. You will assist in GC gas sampling, document samples, and ensure archiving and KPI reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in science or engineering and have at least 2 years in lab testing or quality control; fresh graduates are welcome for internship experience. Safety adherence is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Science, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferably with a minimum of 2 years' experience in laboratory testing, quality control, and material characterization.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in a laboratory or quality environment are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of quality control processes, laboratory safety, and testing standards.
• Ability to operate laboratory instruments and testing equipment (e.g., tensile testers, microscopes, spectrometers).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st level maintenance on the quality lab equipment (5S, regular cleaning, basic troubleshooting & escalation to maintenance team)
• Support laboratory test equipment readiness and validate the test method.
• Supporting Quality common Key Performance Index (KPI).
• Adhere and actively participate in occupational safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and activities.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives as assigned
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job description
