Job summary

Emerson Process Management Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an engineer to re-design EOL parts for NI RF Test products, expanding life span and maintaining RF revenue. You will incorporate DFM feedback, improve circuitry across analogue, power, RF, and microwave domains, and develop debug tools for manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have analogue design exposure, plus willingness to travel to Austin for training and R&D discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering (Electronics or Telecommunications) required.
• Analogue design experience in T&M products is advantageous.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1.Re-design responsibility:

To re-design EOL parts in NI RF Test measurement products to extend their life span to meet customer needs & maintain RF product revenue

Re-design circuitry ranges from low frequency analogue, power supply, RF and Microwave circuitries including discrete and IC based topologies.

Integrate DFM inputs from MFG to improve product yield & quality

Research and propose alternative parts with effective solutions in considerationofavoidingmajor software & product calibration, hardware topology changes to replaceEOL parts in RF products.

Proactive in doing mock-up design as POC (Proof of Concept) to strengthen re-design proposal to get final approval from RF domain leaders.

Exposure in analogue passive / active filter designs, DSP, and PCB layout development are ideal requirements

Completing Board level Best practices(BLBP) and Analog Design Best Practices (ADBP) is added advantage.

2. Have good knowledge infailure analysis to root cause failures during early VnV and MFG builds.

Able to come up fish bone diagram to list possible root cause and narrow down to actual rootcause.

Properly document failure / project progress and share with stake holders by sharing short and long term design solutions.

Create debug tool and training material forMFG during product release

3. Deploy re-design project into T&M MFG Penang to meet customer demand according release date

Good exposureof NI product calibration and NI test measurements best practices to solve product issues during NPI and Ship & Ramp

Create proper debug guides, debug tools and provide training to MFG techs and Failure Analysis engineer.

Bachelors in Engineering (or related) degreeElectronics or Telecommunications

Analogue design experience in T&M products will be an advantage

Ability to travel to Austin for training and project discussion with R&D

1-2 years of work experience in the related field is required for this position

Fresh graduates or entry level are welcome to apply the position
