Job summary

Emerson Process Management Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a proactive Project Coordinator to support daily project activities alongside engineers and project managers. You will manage BOMs, logistics, ECO/MCO processes, and coordinate prototype builds, while collaborating with PCB Design, Test Engineering, Compliance, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field, with relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Positive attitude and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Applied AI literacy, crafting prompts, validating outputs, and integrating AI tools while ensuring data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers and project managers to support daily project activities.

• Manage BOMs and component inventory records.
• Submit PRs, track POs, and support project coordination activities.
• Coordinate manufacturing prototype builds and product qualification requests.
• Create and maintain new component part numbers; experience with electronic components is advantageous.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PCB Design, Test Engineering, Compliance, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders.
• Foster strong teamwork and maintain effective communication across R&D and manufacturing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Work closely with engineers and project managers to support daily project activities.
• Execute tasks assigned by the project manager in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain project documentation and coordinate logistics activities, including internal support requests, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs).
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component inventory records.
• Submit Purchase Requisitions (PRs), track Purchase Orders (POs), and support project coordination activities.
• Coordinate manufacturing prototype builds and product qualification requests.
• Create and maintain new component part numbers; experience with electronic component attributes is an advantage.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including PCB Design, Test Engineering, Compliance, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders as required by project needs.
• Foster strong teamwork and maintain effective communication across R&D and manufacturing organizations.

• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Ability to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.
• Applied AI literacy, including the ability to craft effective prompts, validate AI-generated outputs, and integrate AI tools into daily workflows while adhering to quality and data privacy requirements.
• Adaptability and willingness to embrace evolving priorities, processes, and technologies with a continuous learning mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a project coordination, engineering support, or operations support role.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Oracle systems.
• Experience supporting engineering development, manufacturing, or new product introduction (NPI) activities.
• Familiarity with electronic components, BOM management, and engineering change processes (ECO/MCO).
