Job summary

eco-shop Malaysia is seeking candidates for a comprehensive 6-month training program starting soon. Trainees will rotate through cashier, sales assistant, and retail management phases, gaining hands-on experience in transactions, customer service, inventory, and store operations.

Successful participants will develop strong communication skills in BM and English, proficiency in MS Office, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset, with a clear path toward an Assistant Store Manager role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree graduates encouraged.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English (spoken and written).
• Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: Cashier Training—process transactions via POS, handle payments securely, assist with returns and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Phase 2: Sales Assistant Training—assist customers, stock shelves, price accuracy, organize displays, assist inventory management.
• Phase 3: Retail Management Training—learn sales analysis, staffing, promotions, safety/loss prevention, contribute ideas to improve store performance.

Responsibility

Phase 1: Cashier Training (Month 1)

• Process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments securely.
• Assist with returns, exchanges, and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service.

Phase 2: Sales Assistant Training (Month 2–3)

• Help customers find products and share current promotions.
• Keep shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and displays well-organized.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention efforts.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness and visual merchandising.

Phase 3: Retail Management Training (Month 4–6)

• Learn sales analysis, reporting, and inventory control.
• Assist with staff supervision, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Support store marketing, promotions, and customer engagement.
• Understand safety compliance and loss prevention strategies.
• Contribute ideas to improve store performance.
