Job summary

M&G LIFE Global is seeking a dedicated Retail Store Supervisor for an on-site role in Greater Kuala Lumpur. You will manage daily store operations, lead a team of sales associates, and ensure exceptional customer service and merchandising standards.

You will monitor inventory, support sales targets by coaching staff, and implement in-store promotions while adhering to company policies. This role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or store operations.
• Supervisory or senior retail experience is an advantage.
• Basic team leadership, communication, customer service, problem-solving, and daily store operations.
• Basic to good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Role Description

This full-time Retail Store Supervisor role at M&G LIFE Global is an on-site position based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Retail Store Supervisor oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and supervision of sales associates. The role is responsible for ensuring high levels of customer service, maintaining store cleanliness and merchandising standards, and monitoring inventory levels and stock replenishment. The supervisor supports sales targets by coaching the team, tracking performance, and implementing in-store promotions while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The role also involves handling escalated customer concerns, preparing basic reports on sales and store performance, and collaborating with management on process improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or store operations. Experience in a supervisory or senior retail role is an advantage.
• SPM / Certificate / Diploma or equivalent. Relevant retail experience will also be considered.
• Basic team leadership, communication, customer service, problem-solving, and daily store operations.
• Basic to good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Responsible, positive, adaptable, customer-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to guide, motivate, and support store staff to achieve daily operational and sales targets.
• Experience in retail, F&B, convenience stores, fashion, lifestyle, or other customer-facing industries is preferred.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
