Job summary

SSF Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage new retail openings, renovations, and store setups from planning through handover in Malaysia. You will coordinate with Operations Support, Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Procurement to meet timelines and standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in business administration or project management, at least 3 years in retail project coordination, and willingness to travel for site visits and store openings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination specialized in retail operations.
• Experience in retail store opening, renovation, or setup is an advantage.
• Good organisational, communication, coordination, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Willing to travel for site visits including outstation and support store openings when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new retail store openings, renovations, and store setup from planning to handover.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, opening timelines, and task checklists; coordinate with internal departments.
• Monitor progress, manage budgets and report cost overruns.
• Coordinate with contractors, interior designers, suppliers, and mall management to ensure layouts and standards.
• Ensure readiness of POS systems, IT equipment, CCTV, utilities, and promotions for opening.
• Coordinate pre-opening inspections, permits, and approvals.
• Oversee handover to Operations and provide post-opening support and continuous improvement.
