Private Advertiser invites an Assistant Manager, IT to oversee IT systems across Head Office and multiple retail branches, ensuring uptime, security, and efficient operations. You will manage POS, ERP, inventory systems, and network infrastructure, while leading new store openings and expansion projects.

The role blends hands-on technical work with leadership, coordinating with operations, vendors, and branch teams to ensure reliable, scalable IT solutions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-6 years of IT experience in retail, supermarket, or FMCG environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, retail ERP, and inventory management systems.
• Solid understanding of networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), hardware, and infrastructure management.
• Experience in new store setup or rollout projects is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of IT security, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of POS, barcode scanners, weighing scales, receipt printers, and cash drawers across outlets.
• Ensure accuracy and real-time synchronization of inventory systems across Head Office and branches.
• Manage system integration between POS, ERP, merchandising, and accounting systems.
• Supervise product setup, price updates, promotions, and SKU management to support retail operations.
• Troubleshoot system issues promptly to minimize disruption to store operations and customer experience.
• Monitor system uptime and performance, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure across Head Office, warehouses, and all retail outlets.
• Ensure stable and secure LAN/WAN connectivity, including VPN between branches and HQ.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Implement network segmentation for POS, back-office, and guest networks.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and address capacity or reliability issues.
• Oversee server environments (on-premise/cloud), updates, patching, and backups.
• Maintain up-to-date network documentation and SOPs.
• Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of IT hardware across locations.
• Provide timely technical support (remote and on-site) to minimize downtime.
• Standardize IT setup across branches for consistency.
• Maintain asset inventory including POS devices, servers, and peripherals.
• Supervise or guide junior IT staff or external vendors.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies across locations.
• Manage antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Ensure regular and secure backups of critical systems including POS and ERP databases.
• Conduct periodic audits on system access, security vulnerabilities, and compliance.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness among staff.
• Oversee relationships with POS vendors, ERP providers, ISPs, and hardware suppliers.
• Oversee service agreements, maintenance contracts (AMC), and warranty claims.
• Ensure vendors meet SLA requirements and deliver timely support.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to align IT with business needs.
• Lead IT setup for new store openings, relocations, and renovations.
• Coordinate with contractors, mall management, and vendors for timely readiness.
• Conduct pre-opening testing, UAT, and go-live support.
• Ensure systems are fully operational on opening day.
• Provide on-site IT support during openings; standardize setup guidelines for future rollouts.
• Support digital transformation, upgrades, and automation.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency via technology.
