Retail Area Manager (Multi-Store Operations)

We’re looking for a Retail Area Manager to drive the commercial and operational success of multiple 3cat outlets across the region. Based at our Kuala Lumpur HQ, you’ll be the bridge between our frontline Outlet Managers and the leadership team, ensuring we hit our goals.

You’ll have full ownership of your region’s performance, from sales targets and operational standards to team development and new store launches. You’ll be trusted to make fast, informed decisions, solve problems on the ground, and guide your managers to deliver consistent, high-impact results.

You will play a key role in building capable retail teams, improving commercial performance, maintaining strong operating standards and supporting the successful opening of new stores.

Key Responsibilities

You'll take ownership of:

• Regional sales and commercial performance: Driving regional sales targets, monitoring metrics, and partnering with Outlet Managers to close performance gaps.
• Multi-Store Operations and Standards: Overseeing daily operations, ensuring SOP compliance, and maintaining store excellence through regular audits and operational support.
• Store Expansion and New Outlet Openings: Leading end-to-end delivery of new store openings and renovations, ensuring all locations are operationally ready and fully staffed for success.
• Team Leadership: Recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing Outlet Managers, ensuring accountability and consistent standards through regular performance reviews.
• Inventory and Stock Management: Managing regional stock movement and replenishment while collaborating with managers to optimize accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Customer Experience Management: Championing high service standards, resolving escalations, and identifying trends to drive systemic improvements in the customer experience.
• Reporting and Analysis: Delivering data-driven insights to leadership and collaborating cross-functionally with HQ teams to streamline processes and resolve complex challenges.

Who We're Looking For

• We're looking for a hands-on retail leader, not just an administrator.
• While 2–3 years of multi-store experience in retail; ideally within consumer electronics, telecommunications, or similar fast-paced chain environments is a helpful benchmark, we care more about the impact you've had, your commercial acumen, and your ability to build high-performing teams than the specific number of years on your CV.
• You’ll have a proven track record of overseeing multiple outlets and supporting retail expansion. But above all, we're looking for someone who:
• Thrives in a fast-moving environment: You are comfortable with frequent travel and managing the unique demands of a multi-site retail network.
• Brings commercial rigor: You understand the levers of store profitability, from sales and margins to inventory accuracy, and use data to drive performance.
• Leverages digital tools: You are tech-forward, comfortable using AI and digital solutions to improve reporting efficiency and management updates.
• Develops people: You have a talent for recruiting, coaching, and holding Outlet Managers accountable to high standards.
