Job summary

McDonald’s Malaysia- Gerbang Alaf Restaurants Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair kitchen equipment, focusing on plumbing, electrical and safety systems to ensure high QSC levels.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, energy management, and timely reporting of breakdowns, with opportunities to support new restaurant openings and training within OMPC as required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of kitchen equipment.
• Basic electrical and mechanical understanding.
• Able to read simple manuals and use basic hand tools.
• SKM/SPM certification or electrical/building maintenance training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct minor guided repair on kitchen equipment.
• Check equipment and operating systems and correct where necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration per defined interval/schedule.
• Report breakdowns and follow up on jobs.
• Maintain electrical systems (replace bulbs and sockets).
• Ensure energy efficiency and proper energy management in store.
• Attend to adhoc equipment malfunctions or other related issues.
