NTT DATA in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Virtualization & OS Engineer to own the lifecycle of virtualized server environments and operating systems across on‑premises platforms. You will span VM provisioning, cluster management, OS configuration, patching and CIS hardening within a fast-paced managed services setting that emphasizes automation and continuous improvement.

You will manage Windows Server and Linux OS, configure virtual networks, build images, and contribute to automation

Qualifications

• Hypervisor administration across VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V and KVM.
• vCenter management including clusters, resource pools, distributed switches, HA, DRS and vMotion.
• VM provisioning, snapshot management and lifecycle operations.
• vSwitch/VLAN configuration and virtual network management.
• OS re-imaging via PXE boot, WDS and automation pipelines.
• Windows Server administration including AD, GPO, IIS, Print Server and SFTP.
• Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu) with hardening.
• OS patching and CIS hardening for enterprise environments.
• User and access provisioning and privilege control.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform for VM provisioning.
• Configuration management with Ansible.
• Security tooling for endpoint protection and firewall rules.
• NFS/CIFS/SMB file sharing configurations.
• Storage management including LVM and capacity optimization.
• Certificate lifecycle management and Windows Certificate Authority.
• Git workflows and code review practices.

Responsabilités

• Provision and configure virtual machines following build standards.
• Manage hypervisor clusters with HA, DRS, vMotion, resource pools.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux OS, including patching and CIS hardening.
• Manage user accounts, SSH keys, and certificate lifecycle.
• Configure networking within hypervisor environments (vSwitch, VLAN).
• Build and maintain OS images and PXE-based re-imaging pipelines.
• Maintain system services, file sharing, print server, and SFTP infra.
• Maintain security posture with endpoint protection and firewall rules.
• Deploy and maintain log collection agents across servers.
• Manage disk partitions, volumes, filesystems, and storage capacity.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and runbooks.
• Respond to infrastructure incidents within SLAs.
• Participate in change management and peer reviews.
