Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee technical delivery and operations of client projects at our Bukit Jalil site. This contract role requires a strong electrical/electronic engineering background and hands-on project oversight.

You will coordinate with clients and contractors, monitor progress, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with standards and safety protocols. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience and EC Malaysia registration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Resident Engineer or in a similar role.
• Registered with Energy Commission Malaysia (ST) as an Electrical Engineer.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical/electronic engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical delivery of engineering projects to ensure timely, cost-effective results.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and stakeholders to capture requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and apply corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present technical reports, documentation and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations and safety protocols.
• Provide on-site supervision and support to the project team.
• Visit site on a weekly basis.

We are seeking a driven and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract role where you will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery and operations of our clients' engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate the technical aspects of engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Prepare and present technical reports, documentation and proposals
• Ensure projects comply with relevant engineering standards, regulations and safety protocols
• Provide on-site support and supervision to the project team
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices
• Visit site once a week.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Resident Engineer or in a similar role
• Registered with Energy Commission Malaysia (ST) as an Electrical Engineer
