Job summary

Cenergi SEA BERHAD in Malaysia is seeking a Certified Electrical Engineer (JEK) for 132kV projects. The role requires 5+ years of experience in 132kV electrical systems, preferably in renewable energy or utility projects, and strong knowledge of protection relays and switchgear.

The successful candidate will work on-site at Kuala Ketil, Kedah, be able to travel, and register in ECOS as a competent person to support safe operation, maintenance and timely reporting for 132kV solar farm projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in 132kV electrical systems.
• Experience in renewable energy or utility projects.
• Familiar with protection relays and switchgear.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, testing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Competent Engineer to register in ECOS as competent person to work, operate or be in control of the installation & inspect the installations according to the “Peraturan-peraturan Elektrik 1994” regulation 66, 67 & 68 and submit form I Regualtion 68 c/w inspection checklist to ECOS & client complete with competent endorsement.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 132kV electrical systems and equipment at the Solar farm project.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of 132kV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to 132kV systems.
• Ensure prompt response to system faults to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
• Monitor and enforce workplace safety procedures and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and system performance.
• Prepare and submit reports to management on system status and incidents

More than 5 years of working experience in 132kV electrical systems, preferably in renewable energy or utility projects.

Possess a valid driving license and the ability to travel when required
