Job summary

Sunway Hotel Big Box in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is seeking a Reservations Agent in a full-time role to deliver exceptional guest experiences from the first interaction. Based in Iskandar Puteri, you will handle reservations, inquiries, and coordination with other hotel departments to ensure smooth stays.

You will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment with English and Bahasa Malaysia requirements; diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, and familiarity with reservation

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations, front office, or a customer service role within hospitality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle guest requests efficiently.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.
• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
• A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Handle room reservations via phone, email, and online platforms accurately and efficiently.
• Assist guests with booking inquiries, room availability, rates, and special requests.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel room types, promotions, packages, and policies.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest arrangements.
• Manage reservation records and ensure all details are entered correctly into the system.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests.
• Upsell hotel rooms and services where appropriate.
• Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered.
