Job summary

Ideal Reliance in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Specialist to handle general accounting, policy application, and close processes in line with US-GAAP. You will ensure timely, accurate reporting and support enterprise SOPs across cycles.

Requires 3-5 years in accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, MS Office (Excel) proficiency, and SAP experience. Contract position for 6 months with potential extension; Jalan Tun Razak, 8AM-6PM.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financials in accordance with US-GAAP.
• Maintain internal controls and post manual journal entries as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of account write-ups and timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with process owners and business teams for data gathering and analysis.

Job Requirements

• Years of experience: 3-5 years of experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Technical Skills: (i) Have knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, (ii) Be proficient in MS Office, with a focus on Excel.

Role Summary

As a Finance Specialist you will be responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles, and will be required to understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate and coordinate with various process owners, functions and business team to ensure monthly and quarterly financials are prepared in accordance with US-GAAP.
• Ensure adequate reporting controls are performed as required by company’s internal control procedures. This may require posting manual journal entries as necessary.
• Ensure assign accounts are prepared in accordance with approved Account Write Up for those accounts.
• Ensure tracking and timely completion of assign task in Recon smart or other applications.
• Perform other closing and reporting task as may assign by the team lead.
• Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
• Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
