Job summary

MEP Enviro Technology Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, and general upkeep of company vehicles. The role requires hands-on work, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.

You will handle preventive maintenance, engine oil, tyre checks, electrical and basic plumbing tasks, and respond to urgent maintenance issues. A valid driving licence is required; overtime and ad hoc duties may apply; 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, or general maintenance work.
• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; Certificate/Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field is an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to perform hands-on repair and maintenance tasks independently.
• Physically fit and able to handle repair work involving tools, equipment, and vehicle parts.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Willing to perform overtime, emergency support, and ad hoc maintenance tasks when required.
• 5 day work in a week

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair works for company vehicles including cars, vans, and lorries.
• Carry out vehicle servicing such as engine oil change, tyre maintenance, brake checks, and general repairs.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance works, including checking wiring, replacing light bulbs, switches, sockets, and minor electrical repairs.
• Carry out basic plumbing works such as repairing leaking pipes, water taps, and water supply issues.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and basic fabrication works when required.
• Conduct routine inspection of company facilities, equipment, and utilities to identify maintenance issues.
• Perform general repair and maintenance works to ensure workplace facilities are safe and functional.
• Operate and maintain workshop tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of workshop and maintenance areas.
• Provide emergency repair support or attend urgent maintenance issues when required.
• Perform any other ad hoc maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
