Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a DC Network Infrastructure Engineer to design and scale global data center network infrastructure. The role requires fiber, BGP routing, DWDM, and HPC expertise, with production-ready deployments using AutoCAD and industry best practices.

The engineer will create BOMs, design rack layouts, and collaborate across Engineering, Deployment, Operations, and Vendor teams to deliver large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data center network infrastructure in hyperscale, enterprise, telecom, or colocation environments.
• Deep knowledge of fiber infrastructure, structured cabling, MPO/MTP connectivity, optical distribution, and cable management.
• Hands-on experience with BGP, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing, and switching.
• Experience with DWDM and optical transport networks.
• Exposure to High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure.
• Experience creating and validating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for infrastructure design and documentation.
• Understanding of physical data center infrastructure: rack layouts, power, cooling, and cabling standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data center network infrastructure, including fiber backbone, structured cabling, optical connectivity, rack layouts, and network equipment placement.
• Develop and review network designs supporting BGP, Layer 2/Layer 3 routing, DWDM transport, and HPC environments.
• Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for network infrastructure deployments, ensuring deployment readiness and design compliance.
• Produce engineering drawings and as-built documentation using AutoCAD for network layouts, fiber routing, rack elevations, and cable pathways.
• Perform network capacity planning for fiber utilization, rack space, power, and future expansion.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Deployment, Operations, and Vendor teams to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure and physical connectivity issues, supporting upgrades, migrations, and new data center builds.
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation, and design artifacts while driving continuous improvements.
