Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Engineer to lead strategy, design, and implementation of Data Center and networking solutions, translating customer needs into scalable architectures. You will own end-to-end delivery and work with account teams and partners to drive measurable business outcomes.

This role requires deep networking expertise, DC design experience, and strong collaboration across multi-functional teams. Japanese language fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 8–12 years of customer-facing technical consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (vPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) with Nexus platform experience.
• Lead and drive design, implementation, execution, and/or optimization for projects to accelerate customer outcomes.
• Experience designing and deploying Data Center solutions including VXLAN Fabric and ACI MultiPod/Multisite architectures.
• Partner with customers to design and implement network solutions ensuring integration and proactive service.
• Active Data Center cert such as CCIE or CCNP or equivalent (e.g., VCP).
• Experience integrating network services appliances (firewalls, IPS, load balancers, WAN optimizers) in DC designs.
• Experience in build and reviews of design/High-Level and Low-Level designs and change plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor to customers, leading strategy, design, and implementation of DC and networking solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact engagements and translate requirements into scalable architectures.
• Collaborate with account teams and partners to align designs with goals and drive measurable success.
• Act as primary escalation point for complex issues and contribute reusable delivery frameworks.
