TELUS Digital invites experts to join its AI Community as an AI Speech & Audio Specialist. You will contribute to ASR, TTS, and voice AI projects, evaluate and refine speech data, and apply linguistic and audio engineering expertise to improve human-like AI voices.

The role emphasizes remote collaboration within a global network, flexible engagement, and participation in assessments and quality measurements across languages and dialects.

Qualifications

• Education or equivalent in audio/speech fields as listed.
• Professional experience in voice recording.
• Knowledge of audio editing, segmentation, spectrogram analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated speech for naturalness and quality.
• Review ASR outputs, identify pronunciation and linguistic issues.
• Perform professional audio editing and quality enhancement.
• Analyze recordings with waveform/spectrogram tools for issues.
• Support creation/validation of high-quality speech datasets.
• Review voice recordings for clarity and technical quality.
• Conduct audio quality checks: loudness, noise, clipping.
• Support voice AI projects including TTS/ASR evaluation.
• Apply phonetics, linguistics, and audio engineering to improve voices.
