Job summary

CHEC CONSTRUCTION (M) SDN BHD in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking a trustworthy driver to transport personnel, documents, equipment, and light materials between office, project sites, and supplier locations across Kuching and surrounding areas. You will plan efficient routes, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain logs.

The ideal candidate has a valid Malaysian Class D license, at least 1 year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and good knowledge of local roads.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Malaysian driving license (Class D minimum).
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Good knowledge of local roads in Kuching and Sarawak (including rural areas).
• Physical ability to assist with loading up to 15 kg.
• Willingness to work overtime or travel outstation when required.
• Preference given to Sarawakian candidates.

Responsibilities

• Transport company personnel, documents, equipment, and light construction materials between office, project sites, and supplier locations.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to save time and fuel.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tire pressure, fuel, oil, water, brakes).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and logging (mileage, destinations, fuel usage).
• Report vehicle issues, accidents, or traffic violations to management.
• Assist with loading/unloading of light goods when needed.
• Ensure vehicle insurance, road tax, and service schedules are up to date.
• Handle PUSPAKOM tests and road tax renewal.
