Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Regulatory Packaging Specialist to manage regulatory inquiries and packaging data for the European region from Powerhouse, PJ (Malaysia). You will collaborate with Regulatory Science, QA, Procurement, and Accounts while ensuring accurate, timely information for customers and compliance with EU rules.

The role is desk-based, focusing on documentation management and stakeholder communication, with shift coverage across European hours and potential holiday support.

Qualifications

• Degree or local equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in the food packaging industry within Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Production, or R&D, with knowledge of European Packaging Legislation considered a distinct advantage.
• Food industry knowledge, with direct knowledge of European Packaging Legislation considered a distinct advantage.
• Have no issues working European shift hours and be able to provide support during public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of packaging requests in an efficient and timely manner.
• Manage specification approvals for all packaging materials.
• Conduct administrative duties within defined guidelines.
• Ensure that all packaging materials comply with EU Regulations, focusing on Food Contact materials.
• Coordinate and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for managing and meeting department KPIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous excellence initiatives.
