Job summary

Straits Investment Bank Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead regulatory change management and translate LFSA requirements into robust policies and controls across Labuan banking operations.

You will work closely with the MLRO, coordinate regulatory submissions, and implement risk-based monitoring plans while providing independent challenge to strengthen compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent with substantial relevant experience.
• 5–8 years in banking regulatory compliance or related advisory.
• Experience managing compliance reviews, remediation projects and policy work.
• Strong knowledge of LFSA requirements and Labuan operations preferred.
• Clear written and spoken English with governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret LFSA regulations, guidelines, circulars and licence conditions.
• Assess implications for SIB and provide clear management recommendations.
• Lead regulatory gap assessments and implement action plans.
• Maintain the regulatory obligations register and monitoring plan.
• Oversee regulatory submissions, renewals and required notices.
• Develop and update compliance policies, procedures and guidance.
• Prepare board papers and regulatory reporting on developments and progress.
• Deliver targeted training to enhance staff understanding of obligations.
• Provide independent challenge while working with MLRO and departments.
• Ensure timely completion of remediation activities and governance.
