AEON Malaysia is seeking an Energy Manager to oversee energy data collection and analysis, drive EnMS implementation, and lead regulatory reporting for a major retail environment.
You will develop energy performance objectives, monitor EEIs, and coordinate with authorities and internal departments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Facilities Management, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in energy management, energy efficiency, facilities management or building operations.
Strong knowledge of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 (Act 861), regulatory requirements and reporting procedures.
Experience in implementing and maintaining an Energy Management System (EnMS), preferably based on ISO 50001.
Proficient in collecting, verifying and analysing electricity, gas, water and other utility-consumption data.
Able to establish energy baselines, Significant Energy Use (SEU) and Energy Efficiency Indicators (EEI).
Knowledge of energy audits, energy-saving measures, and Measurement and Verification (M&V) methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and energy monitoring or building management systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, report-writing and presentation skills.
Able to organise Energy Management Committee meetings and present energy performance findings to management.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors and internal departments.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing regulatory submissions within the required deadlines.
Experience in shopping malls, retail buildings or large commercial facilities will be an added advantage.
