Job summary

BASF Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to deliver AP services across Asia Pacific in line with BASF policies. The role focuses on timely, accurate processing, risk monitoring, and collaboration with local finance teams to ensure efficient payments.

Responsibilities include monitoring SPOT checks, processing intercompany payment proposals, investigating payment issues, and supporting month-end reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
• External/shared service or BPO experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor P2P risk and ensure SPOT checks and duplicate postings are cleared.
• Collaborate with invoicing team to reduce errors in SPOT and duplicates.
• Identify root causes of SPOT check and duplicate errors and implement corrective actions.
• Process payment proposals for intercompany including co-process and final reports on timeline.
• Ensure tasks are completed within timeline and before bank cut off time.
• Investigate payment failures, coordinate with banks and related parties to rectify issues.
• Support month-end bank reconciliations and mailbox management for the team.
• Assist audits and provide required documentation and samples.
