Job summary

Maybank in Ipoh seeks a results-driven Commercial Banking professional to acquire NTB clients for current accounts and drive deposit growth in the commercial segment. You will target clients with ADB RM300K–RM1M, deepen relationships, and cross-sell Work+ and merchant services while promoting digital banking solutions.

You'll collaborate with CBC and branches to onboard cash management solutions, attract FX customers, and increase M2E and M2U usage.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in client acquisition and business development in banking or financial services.
• Experience in managing and growing deposit portfolios.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proactive approach to business development.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of deposit products and NTB client strategies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management.
• Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
• Dynamic, motivated, and adept at identifying growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for acquiring new-to-bank (NTB) commercial Current Accounts and driving NTB total deposit growth within the commercial segment.
• Actively hunt for NTB clients to expand the customer base.
• Manage relationships with commercial clients with average daily balances (ADB) between RM300K and RM1M.
• Promote and facilitate new active merchant signups for card services to enhance the bank's merchant portfolio.
• Increase clients’ share of wallet by cross-selling deposit products such as Work+, Merchant services, and Digital banking solutions.
• Collaborate with CBC and branches to onboard cash management solutions, enhancing service offerings to commercial clients.
• Focus on attracting new FX customers and increasing M2E and M2U in the business segment.
• Implement salary crediting programs for both individual and corporate clients, including Work+ Company NOC.
