Job summary

Outsourced in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a finance professional to handle management accounts, financial reporting, and month-end close for multiple entities with a Singapore focus. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and assist with payroll calculations such as commissions while ensuring accuracy.

The role requires 4–6 years in accounting, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and proficiency with Xero and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in management accounting, bookkeeping, or similar finance role.
• Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Singapore accounting processes and requirements; exposure to other jurisdictions is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with management accounts, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting.
• Basic experience with payroll-related calculations, especially commissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across relevant entities and jurisdictions, with a strong focus on Singapore accounting requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, expenditure analysis, and variance analysis, providing practical financial insights to management.
• Support basic payroll-related calculations, primarily commissions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and utilise Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Work independently with international stakeholders, identify process improvements, and support additional finance requirements as the business evolves.

Essential Experience & Skills

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in management accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role, with a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Singapore accounting processes and requirements, with exposure to other international jurisdictions such as Thailand, the UK, UAE, and/or US highly desirable.
• Hands‑on experience with management accounts, financial reporting, month‑end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure analysis.
• Basic experience with payroll‑related calculations, particularly commissions, with strong attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and practical experience using Xero or similar accounting systems.
• A proactive and independent approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership, work across an international environment, and hit the ground running.
• ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification, completed or currently in progress.
• Experience supporting finance operations across multiple entities or international jurisdictions.
• Experience working in a growing or fast‑paced business environment..
