Job summary

Connexus Global is seeking a Finance Controls Lead – Asia to fortify governance, risk management and financial controls across its Asia footprint. The role partners with regional controllers and corporate teams to standardize processes and drive improvements.

The candidate will oversee SOX, IFRS/US GAAP, tax compliance and treasury activities, supporting audits and regional closing activities while mentoring accounting and tax staff across sites.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience across accounting, controls, tax or related areas, including supervisory exposure.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional accounting qualification expected.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, SOX, IFRS/US GAAP, tax and treasury.

Are you a finance controls leader looking for an opportunity to strengthen governance, risk management and financial processes across a complex Asia footprint?

We are supporting a leading global manufacturing and technology organization in their search for a Finance Controls Lead – Asia to join their regional finance leadership team.

This is a highly visible regional opportunity within a multinational business operating across multiple markets and manufacturing locations. The role goes well beyond traditional internal controls, combining financial accounting, SOX, tax and statutory compliance, treasury, finance systems, risk management and continuous improvement across Asia.

Working closely with the Asia Regional Controller, Site Controllers and global corporate teams, this person will help strengthen the overall control environment across the region. The scope includes identifying gaps in finance policies and processes, improving governance and documentation, supporting internal and external audits, managing balance sheet risks and ensuring consistent execution of controls across different sites and countries.

The position also offers broad exposure beyond accounting and controls. You will partner with Corporate Tax, Treasury, Legal, Internal Audit, FP&A, Operations and Global Business Services, while supporting topics including statutory compliance, cash flow, FX, legal entities and regional closing activities. Finance technology is another important part of the mandate, with responsibility for supporting and improving systems including SAP, Khalix and Power BI.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting the dots across countries rather than operating within one finance function or market. You will have the ability to identify recurring issues, bring greater consistency across sites, simplify processes and drive sustainable improvements across the Asia finance organization. The role also provides leadership, coaching and mentoring exposure with Accounting and Tax Managers across regional sites.

We are looking for a finance professional with approximately 8–10 years of experience across accounting, controls, tax or related areas, including supervisory and business-partnering exposure. A degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional accounting or finance qualification are expected. Strong knowledge of SAP, SOX, IFRS/US GAAP, tax and treasury will be important, while experience within a multinational manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

From a leadership perspective, this role will suit someone pragmatic, hands‑on and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment. You should be analytical and confident enough to challenge existing practices based on facts, while remaining collaborative and capable of influencing stakeholders across different functions, countries and levels of seniority.
