Job summary

Businesslist in Malaysia seeks a Data Center Technical Architect Director to lead multidisciplinary teams from concept to delivery on regional data center projects. You will review designs, ensure alignment with feasibility and delivery readiness, and present technical solutions to customers.

The role requires strong leadership, client-facing communication, and a deep understanding of data center standards (TIA-942, BICSI, IEC 61439).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in data center integration, infra solutions, or turnkey projects.
Proven consulting/design/engineering/project management for large data centers (≥1MW).
Strong understanding of mission-critical facility design and operations.
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit/MS Project and related PM tools.
Solid knowledge of international data center standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead technical teams across regional data center projects and ensure delivery objectives.
Review and validate solution architecture designs for feasibility and readiness.
Engage with customers to present technical solutions and support business development.
Conduct customer requirement gathering, surveys, and feasibility assessments.
Define project delivery strategies with governance and controls.
Assess risks, cost implications, and resource needs for construction and engineering.
Provide technical leadership aligned with industry standards (TIA-942, BICSI, IEC 61439, IEEE 493, BS 7671).
Oversee electrical, MVAC, ELV, fire, civil works, and critical equipment design and implementation.
Collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure excellence and project success.
